Wenger Luggage from the Maker's of Swiss Army Knives

Wenger, the maker of the famous Swiss Army Knife, has a whole line of travel and outdoor gear. Not content with knives and watches this company also makes tents, sleeping bags, backpacks, and luggage. There are so many options it’s hard to choose, but we’ve selected some Wenger luggage products to highlight that would be the most useful on a camping trip or vacation.
These members of the Wenger luggage family aren’t your old-fashioned one- or two-pocket packs where everything gets jumbled together. Wenger daypacks, also called laptop backpacks, are designed to hold all the modern necessities of daily life. In addition to a large main compartment, most have an interior pocket for a CD or MP3 player with an external headphone port, plus an organizer pocket for keys, phone, and pens. On the outside there’s elasticized mesh water bottle storage and some daypack models include holders for phones and sunglasses right on the shoulder straps.
Luggage Sets
Wenger luggage includes several models—most of which are sold as either sets or individual bags—all named for cities in the Alps. For instance, the Lucerne Lite group includes three differently sized Pullman bags and a carry-on. This deluxe luggage is made with ballistic weave fabric and includes interior shoe pockets and a removable PVC wet pocket that’s just right for a damp swimsuit or leaky shampoo bottle. The Milano line—three Pullmans and a tote—is polyester with a bottom bumper grip for easier lifting; these pieces also contain mesh zippered pockets and removable wet packs.
Messenger Bags
One of these messenger bags from Wenger luggage could be very handy on a sightseeing trip. While not as roomy as a daypack, the one-shoulder style makes the contents more accessible and the bag more manageable in a bus or museum. The bag’s interior features an organizer pocket and side accessory pockets, plus a back pocket just right for magazines or brochures. Outside there are two water bottle pockets of elasticized mesh and a padded shoulder strap for comfort.
